This week we are happy to have Dr. Sarah Miller, Senior Genomics Research Scientist at Semex, presenting for us on Friday April 28th, 2023. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The title of the presentation is: "Scrotal Circumference Genomic Evaluation and its Association with Semen Production in Semex’s Dairy Bull Population".
Speaker Biography: Sarah Miller received her B.Sc. in Animal Biology, and her Master, and PhD degrees in Animal Breeding and Genetics at the University of Guelph. Her Master and PhD studies focused on dairy cattle genetic evaluations in Canadian dairy cattle. Sarah has been working for the dairy cattle AI industry since 2011, and is currently working at Semex in Guelph as the Senior Genomics Research Scientist, where her main focus has been on the improvement of dairy bull fertility.
