This week we are happy to have Dr. Tianjing Zhao, assistant professor at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, presenting for us on Friday, December 1st, 2023. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The title of the presentation is: "Solving emerging challenges in quantitative genetics: new data, large data, and sharing data".
 
Speaker Biography: Dr. Tianjing Zhao joined the Department of Animal Science in August as an assistant professor in theoretical quantitative genetics. She earned her M.S., in Statistics, and then her Ph.D., in Statistical and Quantitative Genetics, both from the University of California, Davis. In her research area Statistical and Quantitative Genetics, she builds new models to combine conventional models with machine learning and develops software.
