This week we are happy to have Kaitlyn Rodriguez, a Master's student from the University of Guelph, presenting for us on Friday, October 6th, 2023. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The title of the presentation is: "Identifying the Threshold of Detection for Common Veterinary Antibiotic Residues in Near-InfraRed Milk Spectra".
 
Speaker Biography: Kaitlyn earned a B.Sc. with honours in Biomedical Sciences, alongside a double minor in Psychology and Computer Science from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2021. She is currently a M.Sc. Bioinformatics student under the supervision of Dr. Dan Tulpan from the Department of Animal Biosciences at the University of Guelph. Her current work involves evaluating and validating novel detection methods based on Near InfraRed (NIR) spectroscopy for common veterinary antibiotic residues in milk samples.
