We are very pleased to have Dr. Gregor Gorjanc, a Chancellors Fellow at the Roslin Institute (University of Edinburgh), presenting a CGIL Seminar on Friday April 16th, 2021. The seminar will begin at 1:30 PM EDT/EST on the virtual platform Microsoft Teams. The title of the presentation is: “HighlanderLab: Managing and Improving Populations”.

Speaker Biography:
Gregor Gorjanc holds an Engineering Diploma in Animal science and PhD in Genetics. He has been at the Roslin Institute (University of Edinburgh) for 7 years. Since 2019 he is a Chancellor’s Fellow in Data-Driven Innovation through which he leads the HighlanderLab. The HighlanderLab focus on managing and improving populations using quantitative genetics, which integrates data science, genetics and breeding.
