CGIL Associated Faculty comprises a group of individuals from across universities, colleges and  industry research groups with active interests in animal breeding, genetics and genomics of livestock. Our Faculty and students have interests and expertise in diverse areas from quantitative genetics to different omics technologies focused on livestock genetic improvement.

CGIL at a glance:

  • Genetic and genomic research and development in all major livestock species (over $ 3.2 million/year of research funds).

  • Breeding schemes designed to incorporate novel traits and new technologies.

  • Development of software and computing tools for research and applications.

  • Teaching of 15 graduate/undergraduate courses.
