Dr. Hinayah Rojas de Oliveira, a post-doctoral researcher at Perdue University and the University of Guelph, will present a CGIL Seminar on Friday, October 18th. The seminar will begin at 1:30 pm in room 141 of the Animal Science & Nutrition building. The title of the presentation is: " Updates on genomic analysis for Composite sheep breeds and temperament score in American Angus cattle ". Speaker Biography: Hinayah completed her PhD at the Federal University of Vicosa in December last year. During her PhD she was visiting student at the University of Guelph, working on genomic-enabled predictions and genome-wide association analysis for lactation curves in dairy cattle. Currently Hinayah is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Purdue University and the University of Guelph. During this presentation she will present some of the projects that she has been working on, such as across-country genomic predictions in Composite sheep breeds with similar development history, and the genomic analysis of temperament score in American Angus cattle |
