We are very pleased to have Ashley Skillings and Kymberly Coello from Dr. Angela Canovas’s graduate class, Principles of Selection in Animal Breeding, presenting a CGIL Seminar on Friday March 13th. Speaker Biographies: Ashley Skillings Ashley did her undergrad here at Guelph in Molecular Biology and Genetics. She is now a Master’s student in the Boulding Lab in the Integrative Biology department. Her research focuses on lumpfish pedigrees for the commercial population in the salmon sea cages in Newfoundland. Kymberly Coello Kymberly is an undergraduate student in the Agricultural Science and Production Engineering degree program at Zamorano University in Honduras. She currently is at the University of Guelph as a visiting researcher with Dr. Angela Canovas. While here she is working on the identification of genomic regions associated with bovine fertility.
